“ We have dined often at Freckled Angel enjoying their tapas menu. Since they recently began Sunday opening, their Sunday roast was highly recommended to us. So we did just that, and it, was by far, the best we have tasted and just flawless. Good portion size. Great quality. Perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Service was excellent, even going above and beyond. The waitress was kind enough to offer to hold our baby for a while allowing us to eat our meal with ease. Already booked our next visit!!! ”

“ July 22 visit (I updated one word on the review, it changed the date to Oct 2023) I love a good small plates restaurant and these eats, were some of the best I've ever have. Usually when doing reviews, I tend to give a four star place five stars, as people underscore (plus no 4.5 option exists). But I cannot rate this place highly enough. As someone that uses Google maps a lot, I hope people will give it a try. We booked online easily enough, which is probably prudent during busier hours. They did have a large party upstairs apparently, so that's is an option for those interested. The food itself was excellent quality, reasonably priced for small plates, with pleasant staff and decor. One couple did come with a toddler, when we went early evening (at opening). So it's fine for kids I would say if necessary. Not sure if they have a kids menu. As a side note, some of the meal names did tickle us. Retired dairy cow being the one that sticks to mind. ”
“ Food is exceptional, Sunday roast I had pork, husband had beef -we shared each others. Wonderful flavours from the mashed potatoes to veg, (red cabbage, parsnips, carrots, creamed peas and cabbage). Roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud plus pigs in blanket - You cannot go wrong. Had a sweet between us coconut rice pud and poached pear an absolute delight. The atmosphere was quiet due to the time we were in there therewas only one other table in. ”
“ Great restaurant. The atmosphere is really nice in here and the staff are very friendly. The food is to put it simply, delicious. Don't expect large portions, it's not that type of restaurant. However, the quality shines, it's very comforting food. The price for the small dishes is very reasonable, but quite expensive for the larger plates, however that's probably just the economics of eating out these days. Oh and side note, the decor is awesome. Just remember it has no parking, so you will have to find somewhere in town. ”

It was quite relaxed but we were seated upstairs where the big groups were and it was a bit loud at times. I would suggest to sit downstairs for quieter tables if you are not in a group. ”

Made to feel welcome, comfortable and attended to from the first moment to the end of the evening. Value for money is astonishing too. Asked to pay a deposit at booking which was taken off the bill at the end. Highly recommended. ”

The food was served in Tapas style, with very creative selections. The flavours were very well balanced with various textures, which excited and delighted the taste buds. All of the dishes that we had were delicious, especially the cod and the pork belly. The Yuzu meringue was amazing, and the chocolate parfait was to die for. The staff were friendly and efficient. If you have to choose only one place to dine while in Menai Bridge, book Freckled Angel! ”
